Accessibility Statement
Effective Date: July 1, 2024 | Last Updated: November 6, 2026
Our commitment
ClickUpLocal is a directory for local businesses and the people who live near them. That only works if everybody can actually use it. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across clickuplocal.com.
We want to be straight with you about where we are: this is the standard we build to and measure against, not a certification. The site has not been through an independent accessibility audit. If you hit something you cannot use, that is a bug and we want to hear about it.
What we have done
- Pages are built from real headings, lists, buttons and form fields rather than styled
divs, so screen readers and keyboard navigation work with the page instead of against it. - Every control you can reach with a keyboard shows a visible focus outline, including on dark backgrounds.
- Form fields have labels tied to them, and error messages say what to fix in words rather than only turning a field red.
- Text and background colours are chosen for contrast, and we fix them when we find a combination that falls short.
- The cookie banner can be operated entirely by keyboard, announces itself to screen readers, and respects the system setting for reduced motion.
- Images that carry meaning have alternative text. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers so they do not add noise.
- The site works at phone widths without horizontal scrolling, and text can be enlarged without losing content.
Where we know we fall short
Some parts of the site are harder than others, and we would rather name them than let you find them:
- Business listings include photos, menus and documents supplied by the businesses themselves. We cannot always control whether those have good alternative text or whether an uploaded PDF is readable by a screen reader.
- Some pages use third-party components for maps and embedded content. Their accessibility is not entirely in our hands, though we choose and configure them with this in mind.
- Older pages created before this statement have not all been re-checked.
Telling us about a problem
If any part of clickuplocal.com is difficult or impossible to use, email info@clickuplocal.com. It helps if you can tell us:
- The address of the page, or what you were trying to do;
- What went wrong, in your own words;
- What you are using to browse, if you know it — the browser, and any screen reader or other assistive technology.
You do not need to use any of the right words. “I cannot get past the sign-in box with my keyboard” is a perfect bug report.
How we respond
We aim to reply within five business days, and to tell you either that it is fixed or what we are doing about it. If something will take longer to fix, we will offer another way to get what you needed in the meantime.
