Do Not Call Policy
Effective Date: July 1, 2024 | Last Updated: November 6, 2026
What this policy covers
ClickUpLocal contacts people by phone, text and email: residents who signed up for a newsletter or claimed an offer, and local business owners about their listing. This policy explains how to stop any of that, and what we do when you ask.
It covers contact from ClickUpLocal. It does not cover contact from a business you dealt with directly — if you claimed an offer and ticked the box to hear from that business, you will need to opt out with them. Our Privacy Policy explains what we share and when.
How to stop us contacting you
- Any contact at all: email info@clickuplocal.com with the phone number or email address you want removed. You can also write and ask us to remove everything we hold for you.
- Text messages: reply STOP to any message. That stops that program immediately. Replying HELP gets you our contact details. See our SMS Terms for the detail.
- Email: use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. Every marketing email we send has one.
- Phone calls: tell whoever is calling that you want to be put on our do-not-call list. You do not have to give a reason, and the call should end there.
Our internal do-not-call list
When you ask not to be called, we add your number to an internal do-not-call list. We honour the request as soon as we can and in any case within 30 days of receiving it, and we keep it on that list for at least five years. You do not need to ask again.
Asking to stop calls does not delete your account or stop messages you asked for, like an offer code you are waiting on. If you want all of it gone, say so and we will do that instead.
The National Do Not Call Registry
You can add your number to the federal registry at donotcall.gov or by calling 1-888-382-1222 from the number you want registered. We check our calling against it. Registering there does not remove you from our own list of people who asked us directly, and it does not stop calls you have given a business permission to make.
Calls to businesses about their listing
Where we call a local business about its own listing on ClickUpLocal, we are calling a business at a published business number. If you run that business and would rather we did not, tell us and we will stop. The same 30-day and five-year rules apply.
If we get it wrong
If you asked us to stop and we contacted you anyway, we want to know. Email info@clickuplocal.com with roughly when it happened and the number or address involved, and we will find out why and fix it.
