Getting Started

ClickUpLocal is a community-focused local business directory serving Lincoln, CA and expanding to communities across California and the United States. We connect residents with local businesses through verified listings and transparent, AI-generated business scores.

 

Possibly yes. ClickUpLocal pre-populates listings using publicly available business information. Search for your business at clickuplocal.com to see if a listing already exists.

No action is required. Your listing will remain visible to residents with the information we have on file. However, we strongly recommend claiming your listing so you can verify accuracy, correct any errors, and access your score data. Claiming is free.

Claiming means verifying that you are the authorized representative of the business and taking ownership of the listing. Once claimed, you can manage your business information and access the ClickUpLocal Business Dashboard.

 

Claiming Your Listing

Search for your business at clickuplocal.com, open your business listing, and click “Claim This Business.” You’ll be guided through a brief verification process to confirm your association with the business.

We verify that you are an authorized representative of the business using one of the following methods (subject to availability): (1) a live virtual verification call with a ClickUpLocal representative; (2) an automated phone call to the business phone number where you provide a one-time passcode; or (3) an SMS to the business phone number where you respond with a one-time passcode. Not all methods are available in all circumstances. Once verified, you’ll be guided through account setup to activate your Business Dashboard.

The live virtual call option is available to handle situations where the automated methods aren’t accessible — you can present documentation and other evidence of your relationship to the business directly to a ClickUpLocal representative. If verification cannot be completed through any available method, we are unable to grant access to the Business Dashboard for that listing. Contact support@clickuplocal.com if you need assistance.

If your business doesn’t appear in a search, you can submit a request to add it at clickuplocal.com/claim-your-listing/. Our team will review and add eligible local businesses

 

We take fraudulent claiming seriously. Our verification process is designed to prevent unauthorized claims. If you believe your listing has been fraudulently claimed, contact us immediately at support@clickuplocal.com.

No. Claiming your listing is completely free. It gives you access to the Free Tier of the ClickUpLocal Business Dashboard.

Free Tier vs. Paid Tier

The Free Tier (included with every verified claimed listing) gives you: – A verified, claimed business profile visible to all ClickUpLocal residents – Full access to the Reputation module inside the ClickUpLocal Business Dashboard, including: overview and metrics, review request campaigns, review monitoring and response, video testimonials, embeddable review widgets, and Google Business Profile optimization – Access to the Listings tab to scan your business listing presence across directories for free; full listings sync and management across 70+ directories requires the Business Listings Management add-on (available to Paid Tier subscribers — see Add-Ons below) – The ability to manage your core business information (address, phone, hours, description, photos) – A Wallet (a payment method is required to use wallet-funded features)

The Paid Tier gives you full access to the ClickUpLocal platform, including: – Everything in the Free Tier – Complete ClickUpLocal Business Dashboard with all features – Ability to create and publish exclusive offers for ClickUpLocal residents – Advanced business management and community engagement tools

Log into your ClickUpLocal Business Dashboard and navigate to Account → Billing → Upgrade Plan or contact support@clickuplocal.com. You’ll be guided through payment setup.

ClickUpLocal may offer a free trial of the Paid Tier when you first activate your Business Account. If a trial is offered, the terms (including duration and the post-trial price) will be disclosed before you accept. Your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan at the end of the trial unless you cancel beforehand. You’ll receive an email reminder at least 3 days before conversion.

Yes, at any time. Your subscription will continue through the end of your current billing period. At that point, your account reverts to the Free Tier and Paid Tier features — including any active resident offers — will be deactivated. See the Terms of Service for full cancellation terms.

Yes. Paid Tier subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard before the next renewal date.

 

Your Business Profile

Your listing displays your business name, address, phone number, website, business hours, category, description, photos, and your ClickUpLocal Scores. Paid Tier businesses also display active offers.

 

Log into your ClickUpLocal Business Dashboard and navigate to Profile → Edit Listing. Changes take effect within 3 business days after review.

 

Yes. We encourage you to upload high-quality, authentic photos of your team, location, and work. Authentic photos (versus stock images) positively impact your Local Presence Score. You can upload photos from your Business Dashboard.

Yes. Your business description appears on your listing and is your opportunity to tell residents who you are and what you offer. Keep it accurate, honest, and community-focused.

ClickUpLocal Scores

Your scores are calculated automatically by our algorithms using publicly available data. We do not manually assign scores, and scores cannot be purchased or influenced by advertising spend. See our full Scoring Methodology page for a detailed breakdown of every factor.

No. Your subscription tier has zero effect on your scores. Scores are determined entirely by the publicly available data our algorithms analyze.

Scores are recalculated periodically at ClickUpLocal’s discretion. There may be a delay between a change in your underlying data (such as new Google reviews) and a score refresh, as our data sources update at varying frequencies. Scores may also change as a result of algorithm updates independent of any change in your underlying data.

If you believe your score contains a material error due to incorrect underlying data being pulled from a public source, contact us at support@clickuplocal.com with a description of the specific data you believe is inaccurate and any supporting documentation. 

Note: we can only correct data processing errors – we cannot manually override scores or adjust them based on disagreement with the algorithm’s output.

In short: get more Google reviews, respond to all reviews, make sure your Google Business Profile is complete and active, ensure your NAP (name, address, phone) is consistent across directories, and keep your digital presence fresh with regular updates.

Posting Offers (Paid Tier)

Offers are exclusive deals or promotions you post for ClickUpLocal residents. They appear on your listing and are claimable by any logged-in resident.

Yes. Offers must be: – Accurate and truthful – Legally compliant (no prohibited products or services) – Fulfillable: you must actually honor every claimed offer – Clear about any material limitations (expiration dates, quantities, conditions)

Log into your Business Dashboard and manage your offers under Offers → Manage. Residents who have already claimed a cancelled offer should still be honored at your discretion. ClickUpLocal is not liable for offer fulfillment disputes.

Billing and Payments

Paid Tier subscriptions are available on monthly or annual billing cycles and are billed accordingly to the payment method on file. You’ll receive a receipt via email after each charge.

Log into your Business Dashboard and navigate to Settings → Billing → Payment Method.

We’ll notify you by email and attempt to process the payment again. If payment cannot be processed after 3 attempts, your Paid Tier features will be suspended. You can restore access immediately by updating your payment method under Settings → Billing → Payment Method — your account will reactivate automatically once payment processes successfully.

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@clickuplocal.com within 30 days of the charge.

Privacy and Your Data

We have the business information in your listing (name, address, phone, etc.), your account registration information, and the publicly available data used to calculate your scores. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

No. Your personal contact information (representative name, email, phone) is stored in your account but is not displayed publicly on your business listing. Only the business’s public contact information is displayed.

Email us at privacy@clickuplocal.com. Note that your business listing may remain visible on the directory after account deletion, as it is based on publicly available information. Account-specific data (dashboard access, billing records, etc.) will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.

Yes. After verifying your ownership of the business through our standard verification process, you may submit a formal listing removal request. We will process verified removal requests within 30 days. Submit your request by emailing support@clickuplocal.com with the subject line “Listing Removal Request” and your business name and location.

Note: ClickUpLocal retains sole discretion to decline removal requests in limited circumstances (such as where removal would conflict with an active investigation or legal obligation). See our Terms of Service for the full policy.

Contact us at support@clickuplocal.com with the subject line “Permanently Closed’ and we will update it manually. You may also submit a full removal request as described above if you prefer the listing be taken down entirely.
